WHO CAN GET VOICE TRAINING?

Actors, corporate executives, teachers, sales people, singers, parents, athletes, children and more.  Whether you are a professional working in a corporate office, a teacher working in a classroom, or an actor auditioning for theatre and film, your voice has a major influence on your success.

WHY DOES VOICE TRAINING MATTER?

Your voice is a reflection of who you are. The tone of voice you use, the level of vocal confidence you present yourself with, and the quality of your vocal resonance all have an impact on whether people will listen to you, take you seriously, believe the things you say, and even whether they will want to engage in conversation or business with you.  Whether you are an actor or a non-actor, your voice is an essential part of how you exist in your profession and in the world.

WHY DO PEOPLE NEED VOICE TRAINING?

The human voice is one of the most unique communicating tools we have. As we become more reliant on technology for communication, we have begun to lose our innate ability to communicate using the voice.  If you are able to rediscover your vocal life, you can discover how effective you can be professionally and personally.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A VOICE TRAINING SESSION?

A BASIC OVERVIEW OF HOW YOUR VOCAL TRAINING MIGHT LOOK

FOR ACTORS

1. We will discuss your perception of your voice and the problems or issues that you want to work on.

2.  You will be given activities that will increase your awareness of your voice, your use of text and language, and the overall tone and resonance of your voice.

3.  We will work with specific texts to help you find rich, resonant vocal quality, and increase your ability to deliver authentic, strong performances with a powerful voice.

FOR NON-ACTORS

1. We will discuss your perception of your voice and the problems or issues that you want to work on.

2.  You will be given activities that are fun and interesting, that will help you discover a new perception of your voice.

3.  Your continued development through activities and exercises will be assessed and monitored until you feel ready to work on your own.

4.  Over time, you will develop confidence in yourself and your voice - and people will notice the difference!
